Jogging helps improve memory.
Scientists from Brigham Young University, located in the US state of Aihado, found that running reduces the negative effects of stress on the body and improves the functioning of the hippocampus. This is the area of the brain that is responsible for memory.
Jogging helps improve memory.
Scientists published the research in the journal Neuroscience. Microbiologists believe it is too early to draw conclusions. After all, the experiments were carried out on mice, which have a similar brain structure, when compared with the human structure.
The result of the study showed that the mice from the second group show the best results in memorizing routes in mazes. Animals from the third group, which were in the comfort zone for the whole experiment, showed poor results. It remains to wait for experiments with human beings in order to say with confidence that jogging helps to improve memory.
