LEGO Architecture Sagrada Família (21065) has been on sale since 1 November 2026. It has 12,060 pieces, making it the biggest set in the company’s history. LEGO unveiled the model back in early June, but you can only buy it now, and for the time being only from the official LEGO online store and LEGO branded stores.

What we know about the set
The model shows the Sagrada Família in Barcelona as it will look when finished, with all 18 towers. According to the specialist site Stonewars, the scale is roughly 1:280. The finished model is imposing at 62 cm tall, 47 cm wide and 39 cm deep. That is about the size of a small bedside cabinet, so plan where it will go before you buy.
The previous record holder for piece count was the LEGO World Map (31203) with 11,695 elements. The Sagrada Família beats it by 365 pieces, according to the German site Brick-Tracker.
The set is part of the adult 18+ range. There are no minifigures: this is a display model that you build for the experience and then put on a shelf. Stonewars lists these key construction details:
- there are no stickers, and all the designs are printed directly on the pieces;
- the windows are made to look like stained glass;
- the model is built from modules that show different eras of the basilica’s construction: 1882 to 1977 and 1978 to 2018;
- there is a nameplate on the base;
- 3D instructions are available in the LEGO Builder app;
- the publication estimates the build will take 25 to 35 hours.
GamesRadar also notes that the interior has been worked out in detail. Brick-Tracker adds that the build order follows the history of the basilica’s construction, so the process feels like a small trip through time.
Price and where to buy
In the UK the official price is £649.99. For a set this large that is a reasonable level: expensive in total, but no pricier per piece than many smaller sets.
At launch the set is exclusive to LEGO.com and LEGO branded stores. According to Stonewars and Brick-Tracker, other retailers will only get it in 2027. The official store limits purchases to three sets per household.
What else LEGO is releasing in November
The Sagrada Família opens a whole wave of new releases. On 4 November the Icons Venetian Neighborhood set goes on sale, with 5,682 pieces and 17 minifigures (£449.99), along with Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku, with 1,764 pieces (£129.99). LEGO Insiders members got early access to both sets from 1 November. The small Botanicals set Cozy Plants, with 248 pieces, came out at the same time. While stocks last, the Venetian Water Taxi mini set comes free with Venetian Neighborhood.
What it means for buyers
If you have been collecting the Architecture line for a while, this is the set of the year, and it makes sense not to wait. A LEGO.com exclusive with a three-set limit means the first batches could sell out quickly, and you should not expect discounts from other retailers before 2027. If you simply like the idea of a big architectural model, be honest with yourself about three things: a budget of nearly £650, free space of 62 by 47 cm, and 25 hours or more of building.
This set is not for children, either by age or by difficulty. It is, however, a good reason to look at affordable architectural kits and accessories that make a home LEGO collection more practical and better looking. AliExpress has several popular items that are bought by the thousand.

KIMIFUN LED lighting kit
The stained-glass windows of a big model look especially good lit from the inside. The KIMIFUN kit from the brand’s official store includes 10 RGB LEDs with thin 0.8 mm connectors that run between the bricks, and it is powered over USB. The manufacturer states compatibility with LEGO pieces. This kind of lighting is used in ordinary houses and in large architectural sets alike. It costs £3.41.

Paris Tower micro building set
If you want to build an architectural model but are not ready to spend hundreds of pounds, there are micro building sets made of tiny pieces. The Paris Tower model with a street scene costs about £3.35 and takes an evening to build. It is a good way to find out whether you like architectural sets at all before you move on to the big ones. The pieces are smaller than classic bricks, so the set is not suitable for young children.

Acrylic minifigure display case
The Sagrada Família has no figures, but most collectors accumulate dozens from other sets.
