Marantz SR8015 – Reviews of the AV Receiver
Enthusiasts are actively discussing the Marantz SR8015 model on social networks. Dissatisfaction is expressed by those who listen to radio signals in high-quality reception (FM and AM). The tuner is not provided in the Marantz SR8015 AV receiver. Hence the negative comments. On the other hand, this is a high-class multichannel amplifier packed with modern electronics. For audiophiles, it offers excellent sound, which everyone talks about but does not always hear on their speakers.
Among the advantages, the 11-channel system (format 7.2.4) can be added. For those unaware, this is the minimum for building a full-fledged sound space for Dolby Atmos systems. Clearly, the Marantz SR8015 will be much more effective than old 5.1 systems (including 5.1.2 and 5.1.4). In terms of 7.1, switching from a 7.1 system will not be very noticeable, but the 7.1 format will definitely be phased out forever.
The debates among audiophiles around the Marantz SR8015 AV receiver were sparked by network music playback. The HEOS app used by the company has a low rating among users. Unfriendly interface, errors when playing music from Spotify, lack of integration with the “smart home” system. All these software shortcomings spoil the overall impression of the receiver. And this is despite the sound quality, which cannot fail to please.
