At CES 2023, the Germans showcased their latest masterpiece. It is a projection display called Panoramic Vision, which will occupy the entire width of the windshield. This is an additional display to enhance the driver’s information awareness. Its goal is to reduce the level of distraction for the driver from the road.

The technology combines hardware and software that work in harmony. The display is intended to show the most demanded information. For example, multimedia controls, active vehicle options, digital assistant for vehicle management. In general, the functionality of the Panoramic Vision display is not limited. That is, the driver can independently choose the options of interest.
An unfortunate aspect for BMW brand fans is the limited applicability. The Panoramic Vision projection display is planned to be installed on the NEUE KLASSE electric models starting from 2025. That is, it will not be possible to buy the new product and install it, for example, on a BMW M5. However, if competitors manage to recreate this technology before 2025, the Panoramic Vision displays could appear on the market earlier, in a universal version.
