Unexpected innovation by Apple has shocked developers. The company has decided to remove all applications that have not received updates for a long time. Letters with corresponding warnings have been sent to millions of recipients.
Why is Apple removing old applications from the App Store
The logic of the industry giant is clear. Old programs have been replaced by new, more functional and interesting ones. And free space is needed to store junk, which is why they decided to clean up. And one could agree with that. But there are thousands of cool and working applications in the App Store that simply do not need updates. The reason to delete them is unknown. Perhaps it would have been easier to develop an algorithm for updating programs and games.
The problem with this global cleanup is that Premium applications and subscriptions will cease to exist for the user. That is, authors now need to release updates to protect themselves and consumers. There is 30 days to resolve issues with the applications. Fortunately, this is a realistic timeframe for performing the necessary operations in the App Store.
