On 2 November Xiaomi posted a short message on its global X account: “Xiaomi 18 Pro Series is going global this November”. Put simply, the 18 Pro series, on sale in China since 23 September, will leave its home market this month. The company has not yet named an exact date, a list of countries or prices, but the image attached to the post shows a rear panel with a secondary display and a Leica camera, and the caption promises a meeting “this November”.

What Xiaomi has confirmed officially
The official part of the news is very short. Xiaomi has confirmed only the fact and the month: the 18 Pro series goes global in November 2026. In the same post the company asks followers which market they are most looking forward to, so the launch geography is still open. Notebookcheck notes that the manufacturer said nothing about pricing, and Android Central stresses that no specific presentation day has been announced.
The post refers to the “18 Pro series” without naming models. Most outlets, including Tech Advisor, Android Central and Beebom, assume two models will go abroad: the Xiaomi 18 Pro and the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. According to Notebookcheck, the foldable Xiaomi 18 Fold and a possible Xiaomi 18 Ultra are not yet confirmed for the global launch.
What we know about the phones
The headline design feature of the series is unchanged: next to the camera block on the back sits a small second screen. It can show notifications and the time, and it works as a selfie viewfinder for the main camera. Android Central writes that on the 18 Pro this display is slightly larger than on the previous generation.
According to Notebookcheck and Beebom, the phone runs a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, and the main AMOLED screen is rated at up to 4000 nits peak brightness. Beebom, citing a leak from an Italian retailer, also gives the camera setup for the international version: a 200 MP main module, a 200 MP periscope and a 50 MP ultra-wide. These are not official specifications for the global model, so treat them with caution until the presentation.
The battery may be smaller than in China
The least pleasant part of the leaks concerns the battery. In China the Xiaomi 18 Pro has a 7000 mAh battery with 100 W charging, and the Pro Max has around 8500 mAh. According to Android Central and Beebom, capacity may drop in the international versions: to 6000 mAh for the Pro and 7050 mAh for the Pro Max. Beebom adds that the global Pro could see charging power fall to 90 W, while the Pro Max will probably keep 100 W.
If battery life is your main criterion, wait for the official figures rather than relying on the Chinese version.
How much could the Xiaomi 18 Pro cost in Europe
There are no official prices. All we have are leaks from Italian retail, and they already come in two sets of figures. Android Central quotes 1449 euros for the Xiaomi 18 Pro 12/256 GB, 1649 euros for the 512 GB version and 1849 euros for the Pro Max 12/512 GB. Beebom, citing the same Italian listing, gives lower sums: from 1398 euros for the Pro 12/256 GB and 1783 euros for the Pro Max 12/512 GB. Tech Advisor gives both sets and notes that the Pro Max will apparently be sold only with 512 GB of storage.
Even the lower figure looks high: it is the territory of top Samsung and Apple models. The final price may differ, and Xiaomi has not yet announced UK pricing either.
What this means for buyers
- Waiting makes sense only if you specifically want a flagship with a Leica camera and a rear screen. The launch is a few weeks away, and after it you can expect launch bonuses and discounts on previous models.
- The Chinese version is not a good idea. It lacks full Google services out of the box, and its warranty and updates are not designed for the global market.
- Check the battery in the final specifications. If the global version really gets 6000 mAh instead of 7000 mAh, the difference in endurance will be noticeable.
- If a flagship at around 1400 euros is not in your plans, Xiaomi and POCO already have models with batteries from 6000 mAh for noticeably less money. The 11.11 sale on AliExpress is also coming, when phones like these usually get cheaper.
What to buy while the Xiaomi 18 Pro is not out
We picked four Xiaomi and POCO phones from AliExpress that are available to buy in the UK, all in global versions. They are budget and mid-range models, not flagship rivals, but they give you a large battery and a bright AMOLED or high-refresh screen for far less than the leaked 18 Pro prices.

How to choose: for the strongest hardware and fast 100 W charging, look at the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G. For a large screen and storage at a lower price, the Redmi Note 15 Pro 4G makes sense. If you want the biggest battery of the four on a tight budget, take the POCO M7, and if you simply need a cheap phone with an AMOLED screen, the Redmi Note 15 4G. Before ordering, check in the product page that the global version is selected and that the plug type suits you.
If you decide to wait for the Xiaomi 18 Pro, follow the date announcement on Xiaomi’s official accounts, as the company itself says the launch will take place in November. In the meantime, check prices on current models closer to 11 November, when AliExpress sale coupons start.
