The company nVidia confirmed that the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics cards are considered the most in demand on the global market. The main factor here is the price for the buyer. For the stated cost, the graphics accelerator demonstrates excellent performance in various games at medium and high quality settings. It is no surprise that we saw another creation on the market – ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 Ti TUF Gaming with GDDR6X memory. Interestingly, there are no mentions of RTX 3060 Ti chips with GDDR6X memory from nVidia.
And at Asus, they didn’t bother creating a “bicycle”. They took the GA104-202 graphics core with RTX 3060 Ti and supplemented it with faster memory. And, of course, they pre-overclocked it at the factory to enhance the graphics accelerator’s performance.
ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 Ti TUF Gaming with GDDR6X Memory
The result turned out to be interesting. In tests, the TUF-RTX3060TI-O8GD6X-GAMING graphics cards ranked performance-wise between the 3070 and the 3060 Ti (with GDDR6 memory). Thanks to the faster memory, data transfer speed increased to 19 Gbps (was 14 Gbps). Additionally, bandwidth improved to 608 GB/s (was 448 GB/s). The memory size (8 GB) and bus width (256-bit) remained unchanged.
At ASUS, they didn’t change their design and cooling system traditions. The gaming graphics card GeForce RTX 3060 Ti TUF Gaming received a massive 2-slot cooling system with three fans. As with previous RTX 3060 Ti models (with GDDR6), the cooling system shroud takes up part of the 3rd slot space. This factor should be considered when purchasing.
