Canadians Built a Power Plant in Nikopol

It is interesting how Ukrainians manage their own black soil, building technical structures on fertile lands aimed at improving people’s lives. Four nuclear power plants and ten hydroelectric stations seemed insufficient to the country’s leadership, and in addition to wind turbines in the Azov region, a solar power plant covering 15 hectares of land has been constructed.

Canadians built a power plant in Nikopol

Located within a 10-kilometer zone of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, the city of Nikopol has acquired its own power station with a capacity of 10 Megawatts per hour. The most powerful solar platform in the region was built with funds from Canadian investors, and the project was carried out by local agencies.

The new power station, consisting of 32 thousand solar panels, is allocated 15 hectares of land. The local power plant produces 80 Megawatts of clean energy per day, capable of powering 12,000 apartments.
Regarding the opinion of the residents about the construction and launch of their own power station in Nikopol, the community is divided into two camps. Those who see the positive side believe that the new facility has created jobs, while others are concerned about whether electricity will become cheaper for Ukrainians.
