It’s unclear what prompted the giant company Lenovo to lower the price of its products. But this decision positively affected purchasing power. The Lenovo K5 Pro 6/64 smartphone has sharply dropped in price across all Chinese stores. The gadget with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage now costs only 100 US dollars.
Interestingly, distributors around the world haven’t yet reacted to the price change. They still offer to buy the Lenovo K5 Pro 6/64 at prices ranging from 170 to 220 US dollars. But it doesn’t matter. According to statistics, for example on AliExpress, the smartphone that has already dropped in price has been ordered by several thousand people.
Lenovo K5 Pro 6/64: An Excellent Budget Phone
One can discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the model for hours, comparing it with Xiaomi, Samsung, or Huawei products. In this situation, the advantage of the Lenovo smartphone is its price. Considering the technical specifications, it can confidently be called the best purchase of early 2020 in the budget mobile device segment.
- Excellent display. With a 5.99-inch diagonal, the gadget displays an image in 2K resolution (2160×1080). IPS matrix, standard pixel density – 403ppi. It features an ambient light sensor that superbly adjusts the screen brightness.
- Powerful platform. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor and GPU Adreno 509, with 6 GB of RAM, demonstrate excellent performance when working with resource-intensive applications. For gaming, of course, 6 models of the chip are not enough. But this is a budget device.
- Multimedia. Dual main and front cameras. 2K video recording, HDR, panorama. In daylight, quite high-quality photos are produced. Features include FM radio, 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0 with LE and A2DP support. The charging port is modern – USB Type-C.
- Communications. Among the advantages, of course, is the Wi-Fi module operating with the latest 802.11ac standard. Additionally, all types of connections based on 2G, 3G, 4G, GSM 2,3,5,8 technologies are supported.
The highlight is the lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 4050mAh. Considering the not very power-hungry Snapdragon 636 chip, the Lenovo K5 Pro 6/64 smartphone can last up to 3 days on a single charge. This is an excellent indicator for devices with a 5.99-inch display. The body is made of metal and plastic, dust and moisture protection, light weight (165 grams), fingerprint scanner. And an official manufacturer’s warranty of 1 year, plus an additional year for service maintenance.
One of the drawbacks is the outdated Android 8.1 operating system. But even here, the manufacturer took precautions. The difference with Android 9.0 is hardly noticeable to the user, as the smartphone runs an updatable Zui 5.0 shell. For $100, there is nothing similar in terms of functionality from well-known brands.
