The Taiwanese brand MSI continues to actively support computer gaming enthusiasts in 2023. Otherwise, the appearance of a new product line in the “peripherals” category cannot be explained. The gaming mice of the budget MSI Clutch GM31 Lightweight series are available in wired and wireless versions. Notably, the manufacturer focused not on design, like its competitors, but on technical specifications. Which pleased its fans.
MSI Clutch GM31 Lightweight – Next Generation Gaming Mice
Low latency of 1 ms and 60 million clicks are no longer surprising anyone. Therefore, the wired version is most likely presented as a complement to the wireless one, for its segment. But the Clutch GM31 Lightweight Wireless models have something to surprise the buyer. MSI has worked well on autonomy and charging speed:
- The mouse will work for 110 hours on a single charge.
- A 10-minute charge extends the mouse’s activity by up to 10 hours.
Plus, a convenient docking station is included, connected to the PC via USB Type-A – Type-C cable. That is, this docking station has a power supply for fast charging. However, to implement this feature, connection to the PC via USB 3 interface is required. Which is quite reasonable. The weight of the mouse is 73 grams. A pleasant detail for gamers is the soft fabric braided cable for the wired version.
The sensor used in the MSI Clutch GM31 Lightweight is PIXART PAW-3311. It can operate up to 12,000 dpi. Naturally, there is an option to reduce sensitivity. The durability of the buttons is ensured by OMRON switches. Declared up to 60 million clicks, but this is more of a warranty indicator. Previous models of mice, during testing, showed twice as high figures.
The price of the MSI Clutch GM31 Lightweight will be $30 for the wired version and $60 for the wireless one. This is $10 less than the cost of the higher-end GM41 model.
