Tom Crosson mentioned that the program for anomalous aerospace threats was launched in 2007. However, due to lack of funding, the project was decided to be shut down in 2012, as over five years, scientists failed to provide the US Senate with indirect evidence of the presence of UFOs on Earth and near-Earth orbit. The project cost taxpayers 22 million dollars, and the Senate regrets that the money was spent in vain.

But debates about the existence of extraterrestrial intelligence continue. Ufology from around the world, citing declassified videos shot by American fighter pilots of the F/A-18 Super Hornet, claim about UFOs. In the videos, which are low quality and black-and-white, movement of objects at high speed and violations of physical laws are visible. The videos spark many debates, but proving or disproving the existence of extraterrestrial life has not yet been possible.

However, ufology claims that the day will come when guests from another world will cease to visit humanity. It is only unknown for what purpose aliens will come to Earth and in which country they will settle. Following American scenarios (“Independence Day”, “Battle of Los Angeles”), aliens will want to conquer the planet, and the US will have to defend it. Russians believe that aliens are less aggressive and try to avoid less developed civilizations (according to the film “Arrival”).
