Of course, it sounds wild – an electric Jeep. Buyers are used to the Jeep brand being associated only with SUVs that require high torque and power. But the automotive group has its own vision of the situation. The new model is designed for brand enthusiasts who spend most of their time driving on regular roads. Off-road capabilities are definitely present. But for complete immersion outside civilization, the vehicle is definitely not suitable.
Electric Jeep Avenger Crossover – Elegant Perfection
The feature of Jeep is its unique design. And the appearance of the new model is impeccable. Classic shapes, although with more rounded edges. But the body itself resembles earlier internal combustion engine counterparts. By the way, designers have worked well on color options. There are aggressive and futuristic shades. That is, Jeep Avenger can be chosen for both men and women of different ages.
Under the hood, the Jeep Avenger is equipped with a 156-horsepower electric motor. It can deliver up to 260 Nm of torque. Understandably, this is not much for an off-road vehicle. Additionally, in the basic configuration, the model has only front-wheel drive. There are luxury trims that include all-wheel drive. To improve off-road capability, there are modes: “Mud,” “Sand,” and “Snow.” The transmission is, of course, automatic.
The battery for the electric motor has a capacity of 54 kWh. Fast charging is available – 100-kilowatt. The manufacturer states that a full charge (from zero) will take only 5.5 hours. Charging from 20% to 80% of the battery takes 24 minutes.
Electric Jeep Avenger – In Step with the Times
Instead of enhanced off-road capabilities, the manufacturer focused on ease of use. Visually, the interior resembles gasoline models. But there are pleasant refinements, mainly related to design. The interior looks spacious and luxurious. Leather seat trim, electric adjustment, and heating are all present. A 7- or 10-inch multimedia display is installed on the dashboard, depending on the trim level. Cruise control and intelligent driving features are included.
Currently, the Jeep Avenger is presented on the market as a concept. Production of the electric vehicle has already begun. The new model will be available for sale in early 2023. The market is Europe. Production is handled by one of the company’s European factories in Poland. The price of the Jeep Avenger has not been announced.
