It even outperforms many compact cameras in quality. The flagship of the Chinese company Huawei has taken the top position in photographic mastery.
Additionally, the smartphone supports 5G networks and has very high performance. In the renowned benchmark Antutu, it scored 471,318 total points and firmly holds the 5th place. The top processor HiSilicon Kirin 990, 8 GB RAM, and a high-capacity battery (4500 mAh) are excellent specifications for a phone.

The wider viewing angle improves detail rendering and autofocus stability.
The bokeh simulation on the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G is several times better than on the latest iPhone 11 Pro. The dynamic range has been improved. Overall, high-contrast areas are processed excellently. Night shooting is impressive. Portraits and landscapes look magnificent. Noise is present, but photos in darkness turn out quite successfully. The multi-exposure algorithm for portrait shooting is well thought out. Even with flash, there are no overexposed areas on faces. White balance works perfectly.
Regarding autofocus, there are no changes compared to the previous Huawei Mate 30 Pro. And that’s great. Autofocus worked flawlessly in tests under any lighting conditions. It’s good that the Chinese didn’t try to “refine” it.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G: Detail
Strict control of artifacts in photos when zoomed in is pleasing. Wherever the light source is, detail preservation during zoom is commendable. Yes, compared to a full-frame mirror camera, some blurring is present. But remember, this is an ordinary smartphone with a microscopic sensor.
The zoom works well – autofocus, lighting, color reproduction – all professionally. At five times “zoom,” the image quality is quite acceptable. The main thing is to hold the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G steady and avoid shaking the device when pressing the shutter button.
The above recommendation applies to video shooting as well. The smartphone has optical stabilization, which works flawlessly. The main thing is to avoid hand shaking. The telephoto camera offers excellent detail, very fast and accurate autofocus, and great noise control.
