The Microsoft Store has added flagship devices from Samsung: the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ models, which recently entered the market with the Android operating system. Naturally, the “Windows brand” sells smartphones with Windows OS. Notably, Samsung has prohibited adding the seller’s name in the gadget’s name.
Microsoft Launches Samsung Galaxy S9 for Sale
Shipments will begin on March 16, 2018, but pre-orders are already flooding the Microsoft Store servers. The prices for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ models look attractive – $720 and $840, respectively. Experts compared these prices to the iPhone X. For other buyers who believe that the phone should not cost more than $500, the price may seem inflated.
Microsoft-branded gadgets are based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip and equipped with a 64-gigabyte storage. Mirroring the functionality of a personal computer or laptop, smartphones are “loaded” with software for email, office documents, social networks, and instant messaging services. Remembering Microsoft’s love for not economizing on hardware resources, 64 GB may not be enough for programs or games.
Considering that Samsung has its own OLED display manufacturing plant, there is no fault to be found with the screen quality of the smartphone. As testing results show, there is no difference between the displays of the iPhone X and Galaxy S9. However, experts assure that Samsung’s brightness and color reproduction are higher than those of Apple.
