The quality of the plastic body of the remote control pleased. The material is very similar to soft-touch, but does not attract dust at all. Silicone buttons are soft, well and quietly pressed. The assembly is excellent – nothing squeaks, no play. It’s a pity that the Chinese saved on batteries, it would be even better. But these are minor details.
The buttons are interestingly designed. The functional keys are multicolored. Although the remote does not have backlighting – in the dark, the buttons are still clearly visible. Overall, their placement is very successful. After just two or three days, fingers press the right key automatically.
Connecting issues will not arise. The T1 remote control for TV box is detected instantly. At least with PCs and mid-range set-top boxes.
The manufacturer mentions a programmable button everywhere. Its implementation is not entirely clear, but it has found application. Using the instructions, you can set it up in 3 seconds to an IR remote from a TV. As a result, if the TV box supports HDMI-CEC, and the TV supports this technology, you can launch the entire multimedia system from the T1 remote. Very convenient.
Remote Control for TV Box T1: Functionality
At first connection, it turned out that the bottom 4 buttons do not work. That is, Apps, Netflix, Google Play, and YouTube cannot be launched. Given that the set-top boxes run Android OS, this is a fairly standard problem. Which is easily solved using the appropriate applications. Fortunately, there is a great program called Button Mapper that helps with this.
But not entirely. The Apps button cannot be configured because its code fully matches the voice control. As a result, the T1 remote control for TV box has not 17 but 16 useful buttons.
Overall impressions of using the remote are positive. Only one “faulty” button does not outweigh the rest of the functionality. Plus, the price plays a role. Just $8 – it’s a gift from fate.
