It seems that the Chinese brand Xiaomi has decided to repeat the “success” of the Korean company Samsung in terms of releasing updated smartphone versions with unsuccessful configurations. At least, this impression was formed after the release of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro model to the market. Instead of improving the phone and adding something useful, the Chinese made a step back.

You don’t even need to put much effort into studying the technical specifications. The Note 8 Pro was equipped with a very powerful MediaTek Helio G90T processor. And in the 9th version, it is logical to assume that a more powerful chip should be installed. But the Chinese skimped and installed an ancient Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor. Hence the decline in system performance. This is not very noticeable in the Antutu app. But when you hold both smartphones in your hands, the difference is obvious.

Discontent with the new version of the smartphone can be found in any online store. Notably, sellers delete negative reviews, which further fuels dissatisfaction. Considering the price difference, it is better to buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro while it is still available for sale. As for the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, it can be immediately blacklisted. This phone is destined to fail. And we wouldn’t be surprised if by the end of the year it ranks among the worst smartphones.
We really like the Xiaomi brand itself. Note that we often publish reviews of quite successful and interesting technology. The company’s products are of excellent quality and have minimal prices. But this incident with the Note 9 Pro smartphone has greatly disappointed us. The manufacturer decided to deceive its customers, who trusted the brand for years. Either Xiaomi will fix this, or it will repeat the fate of Lenovo corporation – falling into the category of outsiders.
