Parents are not ready to buy expensive smartphones for children — that’s a fact. And mobile device manufacturers are not rushing to release affordable and powerful smartphones. The problem was relevant a couple of years ago until the ZTE Blade V8 Lite appeared on the market.
What does a child need? A calling device, modest performance for games, social networks, video viewing, music, and a camera. And the Hong Kong company ZTE made a breakthrough in this direction by introducing an affordable yet powerful device. Moreover, the gadget turned out to be so interesting that it immediately attracted even less demanding buyers.
ZTE Blade V8 Lite: specifications
A 5-inch smartphone — an excellent solution for children and adults who prefer to carry their phone in their pocket. The case is made of aluminum, and the smartphone itself weighs only 137 grams. With dimensions of 143x71x8 mm, it is a very compact solution. The capacitive touchscreen uses an IPS matrix. The resolution of 1280×720 (HD) is a bit disappointing, but pixels are not visible on a 5-inch screen. Multitouch support is available.
An octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor runs at 1500 MHz. Obviously, high performance is not expected, but it is sufficient for communication and multimedia. It has 2 GB of RAM and a 16 GB flash storage.
As a bonus, the ZTE Blade V8 Lite supports 4G and dual SIM card operation. Photographers are provided with two cameras — a main 13 MP camera and a front 5 MP camera. It has a built-in FM receiver and supports audio and video codecs. An interesting feature is the fingerprint scanner, which stores 5 scans in memory. The same functionality on a top-tier Samsung is limited to two scans.
Overall, the smartphone turned out to be quite successful, especially considering its price. The cost of the mobile device does not exceed 80 US dollars. In terms of features and performance, the ZTE Blade V8 Lite surpasses more expensive competitors.
