As expected, 2020 was a challenging year for Adidas. Almost all publications declared the Samba sneakers as the trend of the year, which we previously wrote about. However, the company’s management chose not to bring back the 70s style to the masses, but instead took a very interesting step by releasing the Adidas CG Polta AKH I sneakers. Essentially, this is a blend of coral Climacool JawPaw sneakers and Samba shoes. And it turned out very cool. The model was designed by London designer Craig Green.

The shoes look stunning despite the company’s limited color options in the lineup. There are only three shades: red, white, and black carbon. However, no competitor offers anything similar. Visually, the upper resembles classic Samba, while the sole, with the Kamanda outsole, clearly evokes coral sneakers.

The spiked rubber sole smoothly transitions upward, creating a volumetric effect. Besides their visual appeal, these sneakers will interest active recreation enthusiasts. Thanks to the high rubberized side, the soft sole base will be less exposed to moisture and dirt. These are like off-road vehicles – Adidas CG Polta AKH I sneakers from a beloved brand. On social media, the novelty has been nicknamed reptiles and crocodiles due to their distinctive appearance.

The official price of the new product is around 230 US dollars. The sneakers are already available on partner sites in more than 10 countries. Due to high popularity, the price abroad has risen significantly – up to $300. But as always, it takes a couple of months, and the price will return to normal.
