Blogger Kit Ring Light 3 in 1 – Review
The most pleasant aspect of this set is the price. Besides the adjustable lamp, the set includes a quality tripod and a remote control. We will detail the components slightly below. I would like to immediately mention the drawbacks of this set:
- The set does not include instructions. Of course, it can be assembled intuitively. But the floating head for fixing the lamp and the phone holder share the same thread size. An inexperienced person will spend a long time trying different assembly options without instructions.
- Packaging. The set arrived in two separate boxes from the store. The loader spent quite some time searching for one of the boxes. The implementation is very poor.
- Packaging quality. If you drop the sealed box from human height, the plastic lamp will definitely break. No bubble wrap, the cardboard is worn out. Ordering such products from China individually is not cost-effective.
Blogger Kit Ring Light 3 in 1: LED Lamp
The build quality of the ring lamp is terrible. Some plastic panels simply do not align properly at the seams. The construction is non-disassemblable. The black rear panel has gouges resembling melted plastic. Looks like traces from contact with a hot soldering iron. The LED lamp is very lightweight and requires careful handling.
There are no issues with the lighting quality. Everything is well designed. The LED brightness is uniform around the entire ring. No dark or bright spots during operation. Good maximum brightness. The color temperature is easily adjustable. A convenient remote on the cable allows quick switching between modes. It even has a power button.
Tripod included in the “Blogger Kit 3 in 1”
There are no questions for the manufacturer here. The metal foldable tripod is simply perfect. It adjusts well, can be set up easily. Assembly is excellent. It can even be completely disassembled into parts if needed. Everything is well thought out. It is likely that most of the kit’s cost is due to the tripod.
When assembling and disassembling the set, note a small feature of the clamping mechanism with the floating head. Inside the joint, there is a small metal plate. Its purpose is to fix the screw when tightening (to avoid breaking the plastic wall). This plate (3×3 mm) tends to fall out of the slot and get lost.
Smartphone holder in the set
A very convenient and practical cradle for a smartphone. I liked the sliding mechanism with a strong clamping spring. To avoid damaging the held phone, rubber pads are provided on the inner surfaces of the holder.
The mount comes with a detachable flexible rod with a ball joint for convenience in tilting the smartphone. The holder can rotate in any direction. It is well fixed. If used carefully, it will last a long time.
Bluetooth Remote Control for the Blogger Kit
This is a very interesting and convenient gadget for working with a phone. It can even be used without the 3 in 1 set. This is a standalone solution, useful for selfie lovers. Just place the phone anywhere, pose, and press the button.
The remote has a power on/off button located on the side of the device. To control the shutter, there are 2 buttons on the body. They are intended for different OS versions, but both work (tested on Android). The remote has a blue LED indicator. If it blinks, the remote is turned on.
