The well-known manufacturer of exclusive sports cars, Bugatti, has taken a risky step. In collaboration with the German company Tidal, the group has initiated the production of premium-class audio equipment. They even came up with a catchy name – Bugatti Royale. This idea looks very interesting. But the manufacturer must understand that they could damage their reputation if the speakers fail to meet the expectations of wealthy audiophiles.
Bugatti Royale – Premium Class Audio
It’s best to start with the fact that Tidal is positioned as a cloud service for high-quality music playback. And the German brand does not have its own acoustics. Well, Bugatti collaborated with the legendary Hi-End system manufacturer Dynaudio. It would immediately become clear what results to expect. But everything here is so vague and very strange.
According to the manufacturer, Bugatti Royale is an audio system where each speaker has its own amplifier. The system includes 4 bass drivers, one three-way speaker, and 1 high-frequency driver. All of this is complemented by a proprietary Bugatti controller, which promises compatibility for connecting to any sound source.
The price of Bugatti Royale is currently unknown. But it has already been announced that one pair will weigh 160 kilograms. Additionally, the manufacturer stated that only 30 pairs of this model will be produced. They are aiming for exclusivity. This means the price will be accordingly high – at least comparable to one Bugatti car. Surely, there will be buyers who want to purchase the Bugatti Royale, even if it doesn’t sound perfect. And what’s next – Maserati, Ferrari – the era of uncertainty will begin for luxury car manufacturers.
