Computer Game CHUCHEL

The Czech company Amanita Design, known to fans of the “quest” genre for toys like “Machinarium,” “Botanika,” and “Samorodok,” has introduced another creation to the market. Computer game CHUCHEL (Chuchel) will delight both adults and children. The developers have stayed true to tradition – players can expect fun adventures and a boost of positivity. The new release is positioned as a “puzzle” and is designed to run on Windows and Mac OS platforms.

Computer Game CHUCHEL

The Czech language belongs to the Slavic language family, so there is no trick in the name. Chuchel is a small furry creature, vaguely resembling a dust clump with black hair. The main character has a bad temper and, according to gaming industry experts, resembles the house elf Kuza. According to the plot, Chuchel is a lazy creature who prefers not to leave his native nest. However, one creature stole his favorite treat – a cherry – during breakfast. Therefore, Chuchel leaves his cozy home and chases after the thief. To keep the story from becoming monotonous for genre fans, a tiny companion named Kekel joins the chase, who, like Chuchel, also loves cherries and is eager to eat the treat.

The game interface is simple – a child can handle controlling the main character, as actions are designed for mouse control and one button. Sometimes, you need to press cursor keys on the keyboard, but this does not interfere with gameplay, as corresponding indicators appear on the screen, prompting the player on what to do. Additionally, an in-game helper will tell you how to behave and what to press to achieve results.

The Right Approach

The game is divided into 30 levels, but the difficulty level remains consistent across all tasks. In rare cases, a stage can be completed in 2-3 correct actions. Most of the time, players will need to click on objects and creatures, trying to gather inventory or start a conversation. Chuchel cannot trust strangers, as there are many monsters in the game that would love to feast on the main character. Fortunately, Kekel, the opponent, is nearby and comes to help.

The developers have diversified level progression with children’s puzzles and options for toys from Nintendo consoles. Here, players will see “Tetris,” “Pac-Man,” “Nu, Pogodi!” and “Space Invaders.” There is nothing difficult in the game – hints are available for players who get stuck on a level, offered by the program in the form of a question mark. It is up to the player to decide whether to get a hint or figure out the solution on their own.

The CHUCHEL game is designed for about two hours of gameplay, but users can easily extend the enjoyment on their own. If you want to prolong the positive mood and receive jokes in portions, stretch out the game over a couple of days. Chuchel will not run away, and no one will eat the cherry during your break. The developers have a full sense of humor, so there are hardly any boring levels in the game.

Warning for CHUCHEL: the game is not suitable for people without a sense of humor – hand-drawn graphics and strange monsters with unpredictable behavior will likely drive you crazy. And the plans of Czech developers do not include housing enthusiasts in a psychiatric hospital.
