In the 21st century, the crossover successfully displaces other body types from the automotive market. Initially, budget models tested the platform, and now, representatives of the elite class have taken on serial production of crossovers. In the niche of expensive cars, Lamborghini Urus and Bentley Bentayga PHEV have a competitor – Ferrari.
Ferrari Crossover Valued at 300,000 Euros
According to the company’s head, Sergio Marchionne, the new model will surely delight enthusiasts. The crossover will be equipped with a V8 petrol engine with a hybrid system. Ferrari’s garage will have this as the second vehicle with such a setup. Recall that the hybrid system is installed in a 12-cylinder hypercar.
The head of the concern does not reveal the secrets of his enterprise and remains silent about other equipment. However, it is known that the crossover will be built on an aluminum platform. It is expected that the SUV will feature Ferrari’s original transmission, which has proven itself on the brand’s racing cars.
Prototype testing will begin soon, and fans will get to see the results only in 2019. But already now, Sergio Marchionne announced that the price of the Italian crossover will be 300 thousand euros.
