The best-selling car accessories on AliExpress are almost never expensive. Phone mounts, organisers, chargers and little cleaning gadgets lead the charts: tens of thousands of people buy them because they solve everyday annoyances for the price of a coffee or a couple of litres of petrol. We picked eight such items by sales and seller rating, with the season in mind: rain, mud and the first snow are coming.

How we chose
Every item below has several thousand sales and at least 98% positive feedback. We left out anything we have covered recently: car compressors and dash cams have their own guides. Specifications come only from the sellers’ descriptions, and prices are as of 24 October in pounds and may change, especially during the 11.11 sale.
Pay attention to the store, too. Almost all of these are sold by large stores with thousands of reviews, and the charger comes from the well-known brand Baseus. Before ordering, open the reviews with photos: for car accessories they quickly show whether a product fits and how well the adhesive or mount holds up.
For your phone
1. Magnetic dashboard phone holder
The best seller of the roundup, with more than 38 thousand orders. The holder sticks to the dashboard and the phone attaches by magnet. The seller claims compatibility with iPhone, Xiaomi, Huawei and Samsung. The main appeal of this kind of mount is that the phone goes on and comes off with one hand and no clips, while the holder itself takes up almost no space.
Tip: if your phone has no built-in magnets, you will need a metal plate to go under the case. They are sold separately for pennies. Degrease the dashboard before sticking the holder on, otherwise the adhesive may let go in the cold.

2. Baseus 30 W car charger
A car’s built-in USB port often charges a phone more slowly than the sat nav drains it. A Baseus charger for the 12V socket fixes that: by the description it delivers up to 30 W, supports QC and PD 3.0 fast charging, and has USB and Type-C ports. It is the kind of purchase that pays for itself on the first long trip with maps and music running.

3. CENRR cordless car vacuum
The priciest item here, but also the most useful in autumn, when leaves, sand and dirt get carried into the cabin. The CENRR runs on a battery, so there is no cable to run to the 12V socket and no wall socket to hunt for. More than 7.5 thousand sales is a good showing for a vacuum at this price. Take the “998000 Pa” figure in the name with a pinch of salt: AliExpress sellers often put numbers like that in a title for effect, so go by buyers’ reviews rather than the number.

4. Car cleaning gel
A soft, sticky putty that you press into air vents, gaps between buttons and cup holders. Dust and crumbs stay in the gel instead of flying around the cabin. The pack holds 70 g, and per the seller the gel also works on a computer keyboard. Do not leave it in the sun on the dashboard or use it on hot surfaces: the gel softens and can leave marks.

What to buy first
If your budget is tight, start with three things: a holder, a decent charger and a boot organiser. They change every journey. A vacuum makes sense if kids or a dog often ride in the car. The gel, the wiper brush and the silicone scraper cost so little that they are easy to add to any order to reach a coupon threshold.
One more practical point: there are fewer than three weeks until 11.11. If you do not need some of these urgently, add them to your basket and compare prices on sale day. But if winter might catch you without a scraper and brush, order them now, since delivery takes time too.
