The gadget’s packaging looks elegant only in pictures. However, according to customer reviews, in 90% of cases, the Chinese gadget arrives in a crumpled box. The device’s integrity is not compromised. Still, it would be preferable to receive the product in proper condition.
For a gamepad with such an attractive price, the Ipega PG-9099 looks quite appealing. Light and comfortable device fits well in the hands. The grips are rubberized and do not cause discomfort. The smartphone holder deserves special attention. Without additional mounts, as implemented, for example, in GameSir G4S, phones with diagonals of 5.5-6.2 inches are held securely. Thanks to the clamping spring-loaded mechanism (clamp).
Connecting to the system is trouble-free. Standard combination (“X” + “home”), and the console immediately finds the gamepad via Bluetooth. When connected, the device even vibrates (probably from happiness).
Regarding gaming capabilities, impressions are mixed. No complaints about racing and adventure games. But with games requiring precise aiming, strange things happen. Frequent misses are somewhat irritating. And this issue is common for all devices of this modification. It’s not about button sticking. The gadget has a phenomenon called “dead zone,” where keys do not respond to changes in angle of 10 degrees or less. The Ipega PG-9099 gamepad is not recommended for “tank” and other “shooter” games.
