Google Assistant Available to All Android Devices
Platforms with Android 5.0 Lollipop, installed on tablets and mobile phones, received an indispensable assistant as a gift, which replaced the morally outdated Google Now application.
IT technology experts note that on older platforms, the updated assistant will launch just like Google Now. The innovation is introduced for consumer comfort. Currently, Google Assistant for the old Android version is available in American, European, and Asian localization. Support for African countries and Cyrillic is expected.
Regarding the Google Assistant app, user opinions are divided into two camps, with ongoing debates about the assistant tracking user actions. For the full functionality of the program and to find the necessary information on a mobile device, the assistant needs to listen to and systematize browser history and user dialogues with eternal data storage in the cloud. Here, the user must decide – convenience or personal security as a priority.
