On the Taiwanese market, another new device from the HTC brand owner has appeared. Recall that the trademark along with manufacturing facilities was acquired by Google in 2017. Based on the HTC platform, a line of Google Pixel smartphones was created. But the previous brand owner retained the right to delight the market with their own developments. After the very successful sales of the HTC Desire 20+ smartphone, the market saw another creation – the HTC Desire 21 Pro with 5G support.
The developer’s policy is somewhat unclear. Practically identical smartphones in terms of functionality and performance have a significant price difference. The new model is 50% more expensive. The main difference is that the 21 version works on 5G networks.

Impressions of the new HTC Desire 21 Pro with 5G support
In fact, the manufacturer simply took the selling version of the HTC Desire 20 Plus smartphone and added a new chipset to it. The performance increase of the Snapdragon 690 compared to the Snapdragon 720G is about 9%. Among the pleasant bonuses are a more elegant screen. Still, 90 Hz and higher resolution. They added 2 GB of RAM, slightly improved Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Plus, they equipped it with 5G network support. And for these minor improvements, the manufacturer wanted to raise the price of the HTC Desire 21 Pro with 5G support by 50%.
Reliability can be attributed to the HTC brand. At least, all devices released before 2017 are still working. Although they do not receive updates, they perform their phone functions well. Perhaps that is why fans actively bought the new HTC Desire 20 Plus. Hopefully, the brand will continue to produce durable and reliable smartphones. After all, at the dawn of touchscreen mobile devices, High Tech Computer (HTC) held a leading position.
