The announcement of the Pony Direct application once again confirmed the scale of cryptocurrency and its complete defiance of authorities who have decided to ban Bitcoin within their own country. The anonymous Samourai wallet demonstrated its creation to the world, which will help users bypass government censorship of cryptocurrency.
Pony Direct: Sending Bitcoins via SMS
The Pony Direct app conducts transactions via SMS, even when there are no EDGE, LTE, or other network channels. However, to operate the app, an Android device and an Internet connection are still required, which will help access the Samourai wallet itself.
The developers of the program have invited other developers to join in promoting the application and are ready to open the source code. Currently, the app is available for download on Github, but judging by the demand, the program will be widely accessible soon, especially since it is already known that authorities in South Asian countries and on the African continent have managed to block access to cryptocurrency resources.
The SMS sending mechanism is quite simple, and representatives of commercial structures are already regretting not having thought of transmitting confidential information via instant messaging channels. To send Bitcoin, about ten SMS messages are required, including the hash identifier and data packet, parts of transactions, and the number of expected messages. The Pony Direct app collects the received SMS into one package and places it in the Bitcoin network.
