The Danish brand VOXX, which acquired the Sharp trademark for its own needs, decided to release 4K televisions under the same name. And the decision would have gone unnoticed if it weren’t for the declared technical specifications of the devices.
Sharp TVs – 4K and Brand Technologies
In pursuit of the lowest price, manufacturers of 4K TVs turn a blind eye to picture and sound quality. After all, most users care primarily about screen resolution. Only during operation, after some time, does the consumer realize what advantages they have missed.
With Sharp TVs, things are different. Price is not a priority here. By the way, it’s not as sky-high as it seems. The level is comparable to Samsung’s 7th series ($800-1000). The feature of 4K TVs is full support for HDR10 and HLG. Additionally, they include codecs for playing sound in Dolby Vision, DTS, and Dolby Atmos formats.
All this is complemented by the Android TV operating system and Google Assistant voice control. Nothing is cut back, and it works perfectly out of the box. Moreover, the TVs have a narrow bezel around the matrix. As a result, a 65-inch panel doesn’t take up as much space as it seems.
Sharp’s 4K TVs have the potential to challenge Korean competitors in the market, not to mention Chinese brands. Take, for example, the proprietary Active Motion 600 technology, which can control the transmission of high-definition images in dynamic scenes. Currently, the TVs are only available for purchase in England. But if there is demand, the technology will quickly spread worldwide.
