Unlike their Chinese counterparts, Tenda has focused on producing modems, routers, and switches. They do not intend to enter the smartphone and mobile gadget markets. Perhaps this is why the manufacturer manages to release more interesting products in the network equipment market. The world has seen another marvel from the Chinese manufacturer – Tenda AC19 AC2100. The home Wi-Fi router is built on a Realtek chip, which attracted attention.

General Impressions of the Tenda AC19 AC2100 Router
The router’s design is an acquired taste. On one hand, the body in the shape of a 7-faceted shell looks unusual. But due to this design, the device is quite bulky. Fortunately, the antennas are adjustable, which simplifies installation, for example, in a cabinet. But these are minor details. After all, the device is purchased to distribute broadband Internet to all devices in the home.
And here is a big surprise. The router from the budget segment does not limit the communication channel. And this is very pleasant. Because most cheap devices tend to reduce network bandwidth by 30-50%. Here, when connected to a 100 Mbps network, Speed Test shows our full 100 Mbps from any device. This is excellent. It can be confidently said that the Tenda AC19 AC2100 is a 100% home Wi-Fi router.
However, during testing, another issue was discovered. When connecting a network printer via LAN, four smartphones, and two tablets, video playback on YouTube experiences freezes. This indicates that the router’s processor cannot handle the load. Our favorite office router ASUS RT-AC66U B1 does not have this problem. Perhaps it is excessive to connect so many mobile devices to the router. But the manufacturer claims support for 4X4 MU-MIMO and Beamforming technologies. It should meet these standards.
