UGOOS AM6 Pro: First Impressions
The set-top box comes in a branded packaging made of quite sturdy cardboard. This is pleasing. Most buyers wait for this miracle from China. And everyone dreams of the device arriving intact after international shipping.
It is nice that the manufacturer immediately indicated the basic specifications on the bottom of the box. This is convenient for users who do not delve into the technical details of the device. But during unpacking, you can immediately clarify the HDMI version, interface availability, and Wi-Fi network mode.
After reviews about the strong heating of the TV Box Beelink GT King, buyers are cautious about the Amlogic S922X chip. But there is no need to worry here. The UGOOS AM6 Pro has a fully metal case. Plus, there are ventilation grilles on the bottom and sides. When disassembling the case, a large radiator is also visible on the chip. By the way, the set-top box has 2mm legs – this improves internal ventilation.
The assembly is excellent. UGOOS products have never been noted for manipulations. The ports match the cutouts on the case, with no uneven joints or gaps. Even the antenna mounting element is polished to a mirror shine. The standard kit includes: device, remote control, power supply, HDMI cable, and 2 removable antennas.
UGOOS AM6 Pro: Performance
The Amlogic S922X chip says it all. A powerful processor and a top-notch video adapter open up many possibilities for the TV box. It is perfect for high-quality video playback and resource-intensive games. The same PUBG game runs on maximum graphics settings. Hardware support for OpenGL ES (version 3.2), Vulkan 1.0, OpenCL 2.0 FP – all aimed at full compatibility with any applications.
The well-designed cooling system handles heat dissipation effectively. It is impossible to heat the set-top box above 60 degrees Celsius. True, synthetic tests show slight throttling. But such load is hard to replicate during normal use. In games and video playback, the UGOOS AM6 Pro works flawlessly.
