According to the plot, young and honest Ostap Zadunayskiy meets con artist Ibragim Bender. The meeting radically changed the young man’s worldview and turned him into a frank con artist. The series intertwines stories from the books by Ilf and Petrov. The events of the film unfold around the young man’s coming of age and a golden scepter that belonged to the royal family.
