Warehouse Robot — An Indispensable Employee
The creation of such a robot has been underway by the French since 2015, but the concept was only presented to the world in 2017. The technologically advanced assistant underwent testing in an online store, where it had to sort parcels and goods, moving between the upper and lower shelves of the rack.
The testing of the warehouse robot was successful, and the new assistant immediately attracted the attention of investors who are capable of calculating their own finances. So far, developers have managed to attract 3 million dollars for project funding, but experts suggest there is potential for more. The robot’s payback period does not exceed one year when translating its productivity into man-hours, excluding medical insurance and taxes.
