A hour on social media undermines self-confidence – this is how a British psychologist began his own report, speaking at one of the conferences held annually in England. Addiction to social networks, along with beauty standards, suppresses the female and male populations of the planet.
New beauty standards reduce women’s confidence
The “I” self has ceased to be primary for men, who prefer social networks to traditional face-to-face communication with the opposite sex. Men are afraid to meet girls on the streets and start conversations. Instead, they spend hours searching for a partner on social media, liking, winking, and exchanging short expressions of admiration. English scientists believe that after a couple of years, the difficulty of meeting people on the street will increase significantly, and men will simply pass by the girl they like.
Addiction to social networks
Women are also not doing well. Britons conducted a study and found that out of 100 participants, most women are insecure. The reason is photos of tanned beauties in bikinis that flood social media. Men comment and like models and completely ignore ordinary users.
The king is naked!
Special attention is deserved by clothing. Due to addiction to social networks, people lose perception of the real world and worship tastelessness. The situation worsens year after year. Britons recommend spending less time on social media and living in reality. Communicate with friends, go to the park, and do not be afraid to meet new people in person.
