The ASUS ProArt P14 is one of the first laptops built on Nvidia’s new RTX Spark N1X platform, and it now has full reviews to go with the press release. This week Notebookcheck published a detailed review, plus a separate note that in Germany the model currently tops out at 32GB of memory. For a laptop sold as a machine for local AI, that matters. Below we cover what is known about prices, hardware and weak spots, and at the end we pick three popular accessories that suit almost any laptop.

What RTX Spark is and why people are talking about it
The RTX Spark N1X is an Arm-based Nvidia chip in which the processor and graphics cores share one pool of memory. The top version, used in the ProArt P14, has 20 CPU cores: 10 performance Cortex-X925 cores at up to 4.0GHz and 10 efficiency Cortex-A725 cores at 2.8GHz. The graphics side is based on the Blackwell architecture with 6,144 cores, and in this laptop its power is capped at 70W.
In its press release ASUS promises up to 1 petaflop of AI performance and up to 128GB of shared LPDDR5X memory. The laptop runs Windows 11 for Arm, and that is where the main questions about it come from, covered below.
UK and international pricing
In the US the ProArt P14 and the larger ProArt P16 went on sale in mid-October: ASUS’s press release is dated 16 October, and the laptops are available from the ASUS store and Best Buy. The US price of the P14 starts at $2,599.99, while the P16 starts at $2,799.99.
T3 lists prices by configuration:
- US: $2,599.99 for the 24GB version and $3,099.99 for the 32GB version, both with a 512GB SSD.
- UK: £2,699.99 for 24GB (18-core processor, 5,120-core graphics, 1TB SSD) and £3,199.99 for 32GB (20 cores, 6,144-core graphics, 1TB SSD).
- Germany: according to Notebookcheck, the recommended price of the review configuration is €3,299.
T3 says the top configurations go past $5,000. ASUS’s US listing includes versions with 24, 32, 48 and 128GB of memory.
Screen, build and ports
The ProArt P14 has a 14-inch touchscreen OLED with a resolution of 2880 by 1800, a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate. Notebookcheck found that it is a Samsung tandem OLED panel. Measured brightness is around 700 nits in normal use and around 1,700 nits in HDR, so the screen suits photo and video work as well as outdoor use. On the downside, the testers noted PWM flicker at 960Hz at 70% brightness and below, and a visible touch-layer grid on light backgrounds.
The body is metal, 15.9mm thick and weighs 1.48kg. The battery is 90Wh, and the box includes a 140W USB-C charger. Ports include three 40Gbps USB4 ports with display output and charging, one USB-A, HDMI, a full-size SD card reader and a 3.5mm audio jack. Wireless is Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, and there is a 1080p webcam with an IR sensor for face login. There is no RJ45 network port.
What the tests showed
Notebookcheck gave the ProArt P14 an overall score of 90% and called it an excellent multimedia laptop. For CPU performance, according to the site, it beats every rival except the Apple M5 Pro and M5 Max, and it is faster than AMD’s Strix Halo platform. In Geekbench 6 the laptop scored 3,139 in the single-core test and 20,226 in the multi-core test, and 1,647 in Cinebench 2024.
In Cyberpunk 2077 at QHD and ultra settings in maximum performance mode it managed 53 frames per second, but the fans reach 54.9dB. In quiet mode the frame rate drops to 34 and the noise to 38.4dB. One nice detail: performance on battery is the same as on mains power.
T3 is more restrained about gaming: “decent, but not the best”, with noticeable noise under load. In everyday use, the author says, a browser with many tabs, 4K video and Photoshop all ran smoothly.
Weak spots: memory, compatibility and battery life
Notebookcheck’s main complaint is memory. By default 16GB is given to the graphics cores. That share can be reduced to 4GB, but after Windows takes its cut, roughly 15 to 20GB is still all that is left for AI models. The site therefore calls 32GB the “absolute minimum” and advises aiming for 64GB. Yet in Germany only the 24GB and 32GB versions are available so far, and the memory is soldered to the board, so it cannot be upgraded later.
The second issue is compatibility. Both Notebookcheck and T3 write that some software and games still run poorly on Windows for Arm, and it is hard to predict in advance which ones will cause trouble. The third drawback: despite the 90Wh battery, Notebookcheck described battery life as “not outstanding”. The list of downsides also includes the high price and a mediocre webcam.
What this means for buyers
The ProArt P14 is interesting as the first serious Arm laptop for Windows with powerful Nvidia graphics, but it is a product for a narrow audience: designers, video editors, and people who want to run neural networks locally and are prepared to pay upwards of £3,000. If you are buying it for AI, look for a configuration with 48GB or more. If you want a laptop for gaming, it makes more sense to wait until developers improve Arm support, or to choose a conventional x86 model with a discrete graphics card. For everyone else, treat it as a signal: in a generation or two, chips like this will probably appear in more affordable laptops.
Complete your laptop: 3 popular accessories
These will suit the owner of a ProArt P14, but also almost any modern laptop with USB-C. We chose items with a large number of sales and high ratings.
Adjustable aluminium laptop stand
A stand lifts the screen closer to eye level and leaves a gap under the base that helps the laptop shed heat. This model has 6 height levels, folds for carrying and fits laptops from 8 to 16 inches, so a 14-inch ProArt fits with room to spare. It is one of the best-selling accessories in its category, with more than 10,000 orders.

USB-C hub with 4K HDMI and RJ45
The ProArt P14 has no network port and only one USB-A port. A hub with an RJ45 port, 4K HDMI output, SD and TF card readers and PD pass-through charging fills those gaps with a single device. The seller offers several versions: 7-in-1, 7-in-2 and 8-in-1, so check which one has the ports you need when ordering. With more than 30,000 sales, it is the most popular item in our selection.

UGREEN wireless mouse with Bluetooth 5.4
The ProArt P14 has a tactile touch panel, but for editing and retouching a mouse is still more comfortable. The UGREEN model connects over Bluetooth 5.4 or through a 2.4GHz receiver, has an ergonomic shape and a sensor of up to 5000 DPI, and its fast-scroll wheel helps with long timelines and documents. This mouse comes from the brand’s official store, which is a plus when ordering.
