The global community was surprised by news coming from the United States, where the 45th President of America, Donald Trump, decided to send astronauts to the Earth’s only satellite once more. On Monday, December 11, the White House chief signed a directive authorizing NASA to once again send American astronauts to the Moon.

The president’s statement sparked further debates regarding the truth of the previous expedition, which took place in 1972. After 45 years, the disputes still continue. Americans insist they went to the Moon, but apart from audio recordings and photographs with videos taken directly on the surface by some astronauts, the US has nothing else. No rocket launches from Earth’s surface, nor recorded equipment from other countries’ missions to the artificial satellite.
Perhaps Americans decided to address the gap in their own history and, pausing their Mars program, officially mark their presence on the Moon. Experts are interested in the project’s funding. After all, the United States is experiencing a budget deficit this year, so it is unclear where billions of dollars will come from to fulfill the task set by the president.
