The DuckDuckGo search engine has attracted the attention of analysts. In one day, it processed 102 million queries. To be more precise – 102,251,307 user searches for information. The record was set on January 11, 2021.

DDG (or DuckDuckGo) is a search engine similar to Bing, Google, Yandex. Unlike competitors, DDG differs in honest information delivery to the user:

• An anonymous search system does not consider personal information and user interests.
• DuckDuckGo does not use paid advertising.
• It provides news based on its own ranking of news popularity.

Advantages of DuckDuckGo

Interestingly, the search engine is written in Perl programming language and runs on servers with the FreeBSD operating system. And the “cherry on top” is the use of secure HTTPS channels and AES encryption with a 128-bit key. Simply put – the mechanism is straightforward and safe for the user. Also, the anonymous search engine DuckDuckGo is multilingual. No matter which country the user comes from, the program automatically detects and sets the convenient language.
