Especially the fact that the wild animal has learned to play Pong with the power of thought. It is beyond the control of even a person. But does everything look so rosy in the future?

The founder of the Neuralink company (Elon Musk) assures that this technology is harmless. The development, according to the author, is carried out so that a person can express his thoughts on paper faster than handwriting or voice input. And everything looks safe, interesting and in demand. Nuclear power was also supposed to generate electricity, not be used in rockets.

 

How it all works for Neuralink with a monkey

 

Initially, the monkey was put at the computer and given a game joystick in its paws. Using the carrot method, the primate was taught the basics of the game. Where banana jam served as an award. After that, a neurochip was introduced into the brain of the animal. The task of the chip is to track the monkey's brain activity and compare it with the motor skills of the hands.

The next step - the monkey was taken away from the joystick and offered to continue the game without the input tool. Thus, creating a communication channel between the chip and the computer game. And everything worked out for Neuralink at its best. This news is both pleasing and frightening at the same time. After all, we again found ourselves on the threshold when we have to choose between "peaceful atom" and "weapons".

It is not known what this technology will result in us in the future. But I would like to hope for the prudence of the leaders of the world powers, on which the future on planet Earth depends.
