South Korean manufacturer is not sitting idly. A patent application from Samsung for a keyboardless laptop with a flexible display has appeared in the patent office database. Essentially, this is an analog of the Galaxy Z Fold smartphone, only in a larger size.

Interestingly, in their recent promotional video, Samsung already demonstrated their creation. However, few paid attention to it. It is quite surprising that Xiaomi’s managers missed this moment and did not take the initiative.
The feature of the Galaxy Book Fold 17 with a flexible display is its versatility. On one side – a large tablet (17 inches). On the other – a full-fledged laptop or a DJ mixer. It is unknown how the touch keyboard and touchpad will perform in operation. But there will definitely be buyers for such a solution, as versatility is always appealing.
The novelty will most likely be showcased in January next year, as the international CES 2023 exhibition is scheduled for that date. There, we will learn more details about the new product, including technical specifications and price. The only known detail is that an OLED display will be installed in the Galaxy Book Fold 17.
