The invisibility cloak InvisDefense, created by graduate students of one of the universities, attracted military attention. The guys figured out how to deceive ordinary cameras, thermal imagers, and night vision cameras with IR illumination.
Invisibility Cloak InvisDefense – Innovation
Of course, the manufacturing technology is not fully disclosed. But it is known that the production of the invisibility cloak involved electronics capable of emitting thermal and electronic signals in different ranges and directions. Cameras equipped with artificial intelligence simply do not notice a person in this cloak, mistaking him for an inanimate object. Only the operator sitting at the control panel and scrutinizing the monitors can detect the deception.
It is known that, in addition to electronics, the cloak itself has a special camouflage print that helps to “blur” the person’s outline in the terrain. The cloak has several modes of operation – for daytime and nighttime use. The management of the built-in electronics is provided by an integrated microcomputer.
The invisibility cloak InvisDefense was first showcased at the Huawei Cup electronics exhibition, held annually in the field of information and telecommunication technologies. This cup is organized for students, undergraduates, and graduate students of various educational institutions.
