The Korean giant LG has launched a laser projector for sale. The LG CineBeam HU810P 4K can be purchased in the USA for $2999. The device features a classic projector design. At first glance, it might seem like a throwback. But once you look at the technical specifications, everything becomes clear. The projector aims to replace 4K televisions in the market.
LG CineBeam HU810P 4K – Laser Projector
This is a DLP technology projector. It operates on a three-color system with dual lasers. Additionally, the LG CineBeam HU810P 4K uses the proprietary XPR technology (pixel shifting). The result is impressive. The laser projector outputs a 4K image with HDR support. Brightness is 2700 lumens. The laser’s lifespan is claimed to be 20,000 hours (which is just over two years of continuous viewing).
The feature of the LG CineBeam HU810P 4K projector is its functionality. From a distance of 1.1 meters (from the lens to the wall), the laser can focus the image size from 40 to 300 inches. The lens is equipped with a 1.6x zoom.
Another nice feature common to professional projectors is lens shift. The focus can be shifted horizontally by 24% and vertically by 60%. To clarify – you don’t need to place the projector directly opposite the wall. It can be mounted on the floor, ceiling, or wall. The image quality remains unaffected.
