On the territory of South Africa, a new generation Porsche Macan crossover has been spotted. The manufacturer has begun testing the updated vehicle under harsh conditions. Company representatives assure that the new model, in addition to its exterior, will receive an upgraded engine, transmission, and suspension. Fans of the brand will also see changes in the interior trim.
Next Generation Porsche Macan Crossover
In the basic configuration, a 2-liter engine will remain. However, the engine power will increase from 248 to 300 horsepower. The Porsche Macan S lineup is equipped with a 3-liter engine producing 355 horsepower. In the top configuration, the buyer will get a 3.6-liter engine with 434 horsepower. Among the advantages of the update, the manufacturer decided to remove diesel vehicles from the lineup in 2018.
The downside – fans will not yet see a hybrid version of the Porsche Macan. The release date of the new model is unknown.
The Porsche company engineers overhauled the vehicle’s body, replacing heavy components with aluminum. The result is a reduction in the crossover’s weight. The next generation Porsche Macan crossover has received a braking system with a reliable and wear-resistant tungsten coating. Upon external inspection, the buyer will notice updated taillights and headlights.
