The updated Windows 10 is crammed with 21 technology of the century and sorting out the list of functionality is sometimes not just an ordinary user. After the ongoing debate about tracking Microsoft users and collecting data on the location of personal and mobile computers, the developers of the commercial operating system again surprised the public.

Recently it was discovered that the OS forces updates, even if the user in the settings wanted to turn off the Windows Update service. It is noteworthy that updates are not installed, but simply accumulate on the system disk, waiting for the “fas” command when the service starts. Cleaning up updates on a PC forces Windows 10 to re-drag files from the Microsoft server.

The owner of a personal computer with a storage capacity of 32 GB took care to constantly reduce the free space on the disk and found that the problem was created by Windows 10. The user failed to disable the download of files from the Microsoft server on his own, so he turned to technical support on the official website of the creator of the operating system.

The answer shocked the user. The Microsoft moderator presented to the Russian user a list of articles from the administrative and criminal codes, which he would violate if he tried to disable the update on his own. On behalf of the company, the moderator threatened to sue the owner of the personal computer for copyright infringement if he did not stop, because when installing Windows, by clicking the "Yes" button, the user agrees with the copyright claims.

For Russian-speaking users, similar threats from Microsoft representatives cause a smile, because most owners of computers and laptops in the CIS countries use the pirated operating system and in fact did not enter into an agreement with Microsoft, which means they do not fall under the copyright article.
