Poltava fans of FC «Vorskla» seriously betrayed Ukrainian footballers on the international sports arena. At the football match against «Desna», held in Poltava, fans arrived wearing T-shirts depicting a portrait of Adolf Hitler.

“My grandfather was an Austrian artist” – reads the inscription on the fans’ T-shirt featuring the leader of Nazi Germany during World War II. The fans immediately caught the camera’s lens, and photos and videos of the banned symbolism in Ukraine appeared in all major media outlets.
The match at the stadium ended with a victory for Poltava with a score of 2:0. However, the players felt no joy, as FC is under the disciplinary committee of UEFA, which plans to impose sanctions on the club. Recently, due to the activity of fans using pyrotechnics at the stadium, the Ukrainian side was fined 35,000 euros.
Apparently, Poltava fans wanted to “strike a blow” to Ukrainian football once again. It is hoped that the fans will not pull any new tricks in the Europa League, where Vorskla is set to face Portuguese team Sporting.
