Removing stains from furniture

After that, it is recommended to dry the velor with a napkin. A fresh greasy stain can be eliminated by 70-80% if a well-absorbent towel is applied immediately after its formation.

 

In the presence of stains dried or obsolete, furniture cleaning should in no case be subjected to mechanical influences in order to avoid irresistible damage. In these situations, cleaning is done in the form of removing the stain with a 10% alcohol solution, then the stain must be washed off with warm water.

 

If the upholstery has large darkened areas from prolonged use, do not try to remove them with chlorine-based cleaners. In this situation, wash heavily soiled areas with a small amount of soap and water to clean upholstered furniture. And after that, the wet upholstery must be soaked with a napkin and dried with an iron through a thin cloth.

 

In order to find out how dyes, upholstery fibers of furniture will behave and how much shrinkage of the fabric is possible, you need to wet the cotton wool with the reagent that you are going to use when cleaning the sofa, moisten the fabric heaped behind the back and look at its reaction after drying.

 

You need to know that there are new upholstery materials for upholstered furniture, for which wet cleaning is strictly prohibited. These fabrics lose their pattern when wet cleaned. In such cases, a more careful dry cleaning of furniture in special centers is recommended.
