Samsung The Premiere: Laser 4K Projector

The Korean company Samsung announced the launch of two laser projector models into production. The debut models are Samsung The Premiere LSP9T and LSP7T. Both gadgets are capable of displaying images in 3840×2160 pixels resolution. The only difference is in the diagonal size: 9T – 130 inches, 7T – 120 inches.

The manufacturer announced support for HDR10+ and a lamp brightness of 2800 lumens ANSI. Readers might immediately wonder – is this brightness too low for a 4K projector? Possibly. Most likely, the projector will need to be installed close to the edge of the wall or the screen onto which the projection will be displayed. The manufacturer did not specify this, nor did they mention the minimum room lighting conditions.

However, secondary device features are detailed. Firstly, the laser projector is equipped with a 2.1 system with a built-in subwoofer. High-quality sound is guaranteed. Secondly, the new device runs on the Samsung Smart TV platform. This means full functionality with all services intended for a TV. But not necessarily. Samsung The Premiere might receive the same limited version of Android as TVs from 2018-2019. And without a media set-top box, the laser projector may not work properly.

The release date of this interesting gadget has not been announced yet. It is expected that Samsung The Premiere will be available at the end of 2020, just before the New Year. The price is also currently unknown. But already now, hundreds of users on social media are actively discussing the new product, comparing it with Xiaomi’s technology. Most respondents favor the Samsung brand, as Korean brand equipment is considered to be of much higher quality than Chinese products. This is an undeniable fact.
