Kazakhstan mobile operator Beeline surprised its users with a new service. The BeeSafe Lost Phone Retrieval Service has attracted public attention. From now on, the operator will be able to track the location of the smartphone, remotely block, erase the information to the factory settings and even turn on the siren.

To use the service, the user will need to log in to his personal account on the operator’s official page (beeline.kz). The service menu will offer several ready-made solutions for remote control of a mobile device.

However, to activate the service you will have to order the corresponding Beeline tariff. So far, two tariffs are provided: Standart and Premium.

The “Standard” package, worth 22 tenge per day, includes remote phone lock and display information on how to contact the owner. Plus, the smartphone is shown on a map of Kazakhstan, the removal of personal information and the inclusion of a siren.

 

 

The Premium package, worth 27 tenge, includes insurance from a mobile operator. If a smartphone is lost, Beeline Corporation is obliged to pay 15 thousand tenge. Naturally, provided: after 14 days from the date of the theft statement, which is issued by the operator, through the MySafety data center. MySafety has a proven track record in blocking stolen bank cards, documents and keys.

It is expected that the service of searching and recovering lost phones will interest young people and the elderly. Indeed, according to statistics, this particular category of citizens most often loses or forgets mobile devices.

 

 

As for the service itself, the operator did not provide details regarding the conclusion of an agreement between the owner of the smartphone and Beeline. Given the cost of the service, and mobile phones, the picture with compensation is not entirely clear. Plus, there are no clear indications regarding the difference between smartphone loss and theft. But it is precisely this fact that forces users to connect a similar service.
