In practice, even a figure of half a billion users still commands respect. After all, today no other OS can boast such scale. And even if Linux enthusiasts don’t gush with excitement, it’s worth noting that under the Linux shell, shadows of Ubuntu, Lubuntu, Debian, and other OS based on the *nix platform are hidden.

Experts do not rule out that the 1 billion user milestone will still be reached, as Windows 10 is currently considered the most stable and comfortable platform for personal computer and laptop users.
