Beelink is actively trying to capture the market for media players for televisions. Initially, these were “omnivorous” set-top boxes capable of playing video content in all kinds of formats without lag, in the best quality. Then, using a powerful chip, the manufacturer took over the Android console market. And now, they have introduced a unique solution that covers the entire spectrum of multimedia services for home users. Its name is – Beelink GT-King PRO.
Let’s immediately present a video review of the set-top box from the coolest channel that focuses on TV Boxes. The Technozon team offers to familiarize yourself with the device, conducts tests, and teaches users how to fine-tune it. Links to other reviews by the author are below in the text.

The device features a built-in microphone (a small hole on the case). For some reason, reviews often forget about the microphone. But it’s an interesting solution. By turning it on, you can set aside the remote and give voice commands to the device. It works perfectly.
Regarding the RS232 port. Do not try to connect the set-top box to audio equipment through it. It is designed for software developers. The product is aimed at the film industry. Why RS232 and not USB? Because working with USB requires an ADP (shell). Through the RS232 port, you can communicate with the device using high-level programming languages. The Beelink GT-King PRO is an open platform. Developers have full access to the “hardware”.
Additional Features of the Set-Top Box
Compared to its predecessor, the flagship Beelink GT-King, the Pro version received a number of new and in-demand improvements.
The cooling system has been improved
The case of the set-top box is made of solid metal, and inside, a radiator is installed on the chip. As a result, the Beelink GT-King PRO is a passive cooling system. By the way, there is a sticker on the bottom cover warning about the non-critical heating of the case during operation. The result is a maximum temperature of 50 degrees Celsius, even in synthetic tests and games. Throttling is 0% (zero!). And that’s great. The previous version of the TV box (GT-King) showed 73 degrees in synthetic tests, with 13% throttling.
What does this give the user:
- Complete absence of lag in games and when watching high-definition video content;
- No need to invent (or buy) active cooling systems. The set-top box can be installed anywhere, it will not overheat or spoil your comfortable rest.
Full-fledged headphone jack output: 3.5mm
Previous models from Beelink only had an optical output for speakers. Most users received sound through HDMI on their TVs. An excellent solution. But what about owners of modern 4K TVs with old home theater models? Brands like Samsung and LG (which are installed in most TVs) have long stopped using the jack output: 3.5mm. Only optical. And old receivers or home theaters lack S/PDIF or HDMI ports.
Of course, you can buy a DAC and convert “digital” to analog sound. But a good digital-to-analog converter will cost more than the set-top box.
The ready-made solution Beelink GT-King PRO is like a breath of fresh air. Moreover, the manufacturer installed not just an analog output, but made it on a high-quality chip with Hi-Fi quality and Dolby effects support.
Yes, the new set-top box costs 40% more than the predecessor GT-King. And it is also made in a rather strange color scheme. But these are minor details compared to the capabilities of the TV box. Where else will you find such a powerful and functional device that guarantees to run all games or videos, and also does not overheat?
