Comet Lake-S processors sharply dropped in price
The event was quite expected. Since Intel always sells off leftover old hardware to reinvest the earned money into their business and increase turnover. Following this pattern, the number 1 brand in producing cool computer hardware has not let competitors onto the podium for decades. But to reduce prices by as much as 20-30% — that’s unheard of.
The unpleasant moment is that most sellers did not react to such a price reduction from the manufacturer. Understandably, parts were purchased with the expectation of profit, not to sell at cost price. But this is a short-term phenomenon.
