The British television channel BBC One has launched a new detective series Dublin Murders. The Irish 8-episode film is based on the detective novels by Tanya French, In the Woods and The Match. Officially, the series will be broadcast in England and the USA. Residents of other countries will have to wait for translations and watch episodes online. Or, download from alternative sources.

Dublin Murders: plot and cast
The main characters are detective Rob Riley and his partner Kessie Madox. The characters will uncover murders and investigate other criminal cases. All events take place in Dublin and Belfast. Against the backdrop of detective stories, the main characters develop personal relationships. In some sources, the genre of the series is listed as drama. It remains to be seen what surprises the director has in store for viewers.
Detective Rob Riley is played by actor Cillian Scott. He appeared alongside Jack Lowden and Jack O’Connell in the blockbuster 71. The film tells the story of a British soldier abandoned by retreating troops after riots on the streets of Belfast. Also featured in the decent film Traitors (2015).
Kessie Madox is played by Irish actress Sarah Green. Known for films Paradise and Love and Wildness.
Sophie Miller, a forensic expert, is played by Sherin Martin. She appeared in only one film: The Loch and the Brave (2017). It’s quite strange that an unknown actress was included in the cast for the Dublin Murders series.
Lord Varys is a well-known character from the series Game of Thrones. Actor Conleth Hill. He plays the role of the head of the murder department O’Kelly. One of the members of the Dublin murder department, Sam O’Neill, is played by Mo Dunford. The actor is also remembered by viewers from Game of Thrones. After the scandalous Russian series about a real maniac “Shadow Behind“, it will be very interesting to see how Irish detectives handle filming detective stories.
